it looks like you want it all, and you’re willing to work as hard as necessary to get there. We love it! If you are looking to build a career that is business-focused, with a strong understanding of all aspects of hair design and full cosmetology PLUS 300 additional clock hours of advanced hair techniques and salon management, the Advanced Cosmetology Program is where it’s at.
The Advanced Cosmetology introduces and guides students in the areas of modern haircutting, coloring and hairdressing, as well as esthetics, nails and business training. This program teaches techniques to help students meet the level of proficiency in cosmetology and advanced cosmetology as required by the State of Ohio.
So what does the Advanced Cosmetology offer you that a Cosmetology license doesn’t? The Ohio State Board of Cosmetology requires stylists to have an advanced license in order to obtain an instructor’s license and teach.
At Salon Institute, the additional 300 clock hours span 10 weeks of additional salon management training, advanced cutting and coloring techniques, and an even more robust student kit (as if it could get any better!).
The Cosmetology phase consists of 1,500 clock hours of instruction covering all phases of cosmetology. It is designed to prepare the student to pass the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology “Cosmetology” licensing examination and to help the student obtain the knowledge and skills needed to begin a career in the field of cosmetology.
